Well as some of you may already know, and hopefully not from learning the hard way; whenever you transfer a TLD or Nominet Domain you will need to validate your contact details.
To this end it is very important that you make sure all your contact details are up to date, especially your domain registrant contact email address.
Both ICANN the governing body for all Top Level Domains and Nominet the governing body for UK domains (.uk, .co.uk, .org.uk, .me.uk and .ltd.uk) now require you to validate your contact details on purchase or transfer of your domain. This process will involve a contact details validation email being sent to the domain owner email address, this email will contain a link to click to validate your details. Failure to validate your details will result in the domain being suspended until the details have been validated, and thus rendering the domain and any email accounts inaccessible during the suspension period.
I thought I should remind you all of this, as I have had several customers learn the hard way with their domains being suspended. As a customer of ours we will make every effort to try and avoid this from happening, and should it happen assist in anyway we can to rectify the issue. However it is imperative that you always update us imiediately if your contact details change so we can update our records and advise you on updating your domain contact details which you can do by logging in to your domain controls panel here.
If you have any concerns regarding this please contact us so we can look in to it for you.
